Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have a second photographer with you on wedding days?

Yes! Always! And it’s someone who I trust and get along with☺

If I decide I need to add more hours to my package, can I do that?

Yes! :) I just kindly request that all additional hours be added on 7 days prior to the wedding day

Do you recommend a first look?  What if I don’t want to do one?

I 100% recommend them, and I will tell you why:

I know what you’re thinking, a first look will spoil that initial moment when your groom sees you walk down the aisle. You want that first moment to be magical, when you see the surprise on his face, possibly tears (if your guy is the type who cries).  It’s one of the most exciting moments of the day, when your eyes meet for the first time.  That is a moment I want you to cherish.

Now imagine that moment in a quiet, secluded area, without all the eyes of your family and friends upon you. Imagine getting to hug, kiss, and smile and laugh with each other for just a little bit longer, before your emotions are out for the world to see.  Imagine being able to walk down the aisle with a little less nerve in your stomach.  A first look before the ceremony not only gives you that private time alone, before being presented in front of friends and family, but it is also an opportunity to get some really beautiful candid moments of you both, in a calm and peaceful area.

Obviously I am a fan ☺ I want to deliver as many beautiful images to you as I can, and you get 30% more portraits by carving out time in your day to share this moment.  That being said, I will never force my couples to do something they don’t want to do.  If a first look is completely something you are not interested in, I am ready to work with your needs!

I don’t know where to go for my engagement session, can you help?

Oh absolutely! I love exploring Orlando and the surrounding cities and finding hidden gems, so I will be happy to share with you some of my favorite locations!

What do I wear to my Engagement Session?

My recommendation is always to wear something that represents you and your spirit, and something that you are comfortable in, but with a little extra sparkle! I recommend two outfits, so you can have some variety, and encourage you to dress it up a little bit! Pretend you are going out to a fancier date night, and then ACTUALLY go out on a fancier date night afterwards ☺ (win, win!)  I also highly recommend getting your hair and make up professionally done, and I have some PHENOMENAL women I can refer you to for that if you need some help!  That little extra step can truly add such a confidence boost that will make you ready to work that shoot like it’s your job!

Do you also use flash?

I am a natural light photographer and love bright, sunshiny photos with pops of color. So my preference is always to use the beauty of the natural sunlight.  However, when necessary, I definitely incorporate flash!  Flash is a must for receptions!

My venue provided me with a wedding day timeline, and my coordinator/planner has suggested a time for my ceremony. Do you want me to send that to you?

I actually prefer to have as much initial input on the timeline as I can ☺ It should definitely not be your job, or the job of your coordinator and/or planner to understand the needs of a photographer in regards to light and time of day, it’s mine ☺  We want you to have to worry about as little as possible! So I want to help you and everyone who will be making the magic happen on your big day to understand how we can achieve those gorgeous, glowing photos with the optimal lighting situation! One of the ways to accomplish the goal of a fun and light hearted wedding day, and get all of the photos your heart desires, is to have a really great timeline with photography in mind!  If you have contacted me early enough, and are still flexible on your ceremony time, I love to have input with that and how we can work with the sunset time!

If I’m ready to book, what do I do next?

Yay! I would absolutely love to be part of your day! Please click here to fill my a wedding inquiry form. I will be in contact with you within 24 hours, ready to find out if we will be a perfect fit!  If it’s a match made in heaven, I will send over my contract and invoice for the retainer, and payment can be made via check or online with a credit card!

After the wedding, when can I expect my photos to be ready?

Your final digital gallery will take about 3  weeks to deliver! A few sneak peeks will be shared on social media though, so be sure to follow along on Instagram and Facebook so you can look out for those!

How many photos can I expect in my final gallery?

For engagements – around 75.

For weddings – I don’t have a set amount but usually say in the ballpark of 100 photos per hour of coverage.
